After seeing some of my drawings from 2001, I decided that I should try to produce more than I’ve been consuming (books, games) lately. I found an unused frame in the closet that conveniently had perfectly cut mat board inserts in it. I busted out the old conté sticks and decided to tackle one of my wedding pictures.
As my first attempt at using the medium in years, I’m content enough to post the result, but I probably won’t put it in the frame. It only took me a couple of hours to do, so I’ll try to do a better one tonight.

Doesn’t look like us, but oh well.
I’ve started playing Bejeweled again, but wanted to do so the other day in comfort. I brought my MacBook Pro onto the bed so I could play laying on my stomach, and looking for a book to support my computer I found an old sketchbook. Inside I found drawings from about 2001, including some drawings I did for an anti-child-trafficking brochure for youth in Cambodia. I took these pictures using my MBP’s built-in camera (using a mini MagLite for extra lighting in some shots) and apologize for the quality and my laziness.

I guess at the time I drew the above pic, I pictured Doms more as lion tamers, which is why she’s standing on a chair.

The image above is a Geiger-esque picture I titled “Feeling Incomplete”. I suspect it was because I was obsessed over some guy at the time.
